Lehigh Swimming Interview and Preview

For this project I chose to do an exclusive interview with the assistant swim coach, Erin Matyus. This was a very fun project for me to do because I definitely want to do something in sports as a career. From a journalism standpoint it probably would have been more beneficial for me to do this same project for a different sport, however doing it for swimming allowed me full access to the practice and pool deck. My photos actually turned out a lot better than I thought. Our cameras are not meant for action shots, so I was a little worried about the quality I was going to get. They came out well though, and the ability to shoot the practice from many angles allowed for a more interesting slide show. I chose to add some transition effects in between photos which helped smooth going from one photo to the next. The interview went very well too, as I was able to edit out my voice where I needed to. Coach Erin was extremely helpful in adding the question that I asked into the answer. This made the project a lot easier. Overall, this was a great assignment that I feel had success with.
